15 Part Residual Solvent Standard Mix 1,000µg/mL in DMA
Sick of waiting for your residual solvent standards to thaw? Emerald has the solution (pun intended)!
Residual solvent standards are usually prepared in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). While DMSO works fine chromatographically, it freezes in the refrigerator and must be thawed prior to use. In order to thaw the standard without losing the volatile solvents inside it, the standard cannot be heated to promote thawing. This means that it takes FOREVER for these standards to thaw. Also, all those freeze/thaw cycles aren't very good for the overall stability of the standard.
Emerald Scientific is the first company to introduce cannabis residual solvent standards prepared in n,n-dimethylacetamide (DMA). DMA remains liquid in the fridge, which means you no longer have to waste time waiting for your standard to thaw. Additionally, you can work with DMA cold, which is a necessity for gas standards like butane. As a bonus, DMA elutes further away from your xylenes, allowing easier detection and quantification.
